This year, the BID is once again working with partners in Waterloo Station to create a safe space for those travelling this Festive Season.
The Safe Space initiative will see a unit in the Sidings used as a base to help support those travelling who are vulnerable or worse for wear: the space will be open on the 15th, 16th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd of December 2023, from 1900 – 2300.
The Safe Space initiative is being delivered in partnership with British Transport Police, South Western Railway, The Sidings, Railway Children, and Lambeth VAWG. During this period, the BID will be funding 1 PC and 1 PCSO to help assist those travelling and provide additional safety and security.
